The mansard is fully furnished and equipped with everything you need, including a small balcony with a table and chairs — our favourite spot for morning coffee in the open air. A convertible sofa in the living room serves as a second bed, and we are happy to welcome families with little ones: a proper crib and a dining chair are placeable at request.
Restaurants, bars, the supermarket and public parking are all a quick walk away — and the Gravedona boat station, your gateway to the whole lake, is just 350 metres from the door.
Pine beams, soft armchairs and a dining corner — all arranged around the windows, so the lake and the mountains are always in the picture. The convertible sofa turns the room into a second bedroom when you need it.
A quiet bedroom tucked under the sloping ceiling — the way attic rooms are meant to be. Fresh linen, warm wood and air conditioning for the summer months. A crib can be set up in the bedroom on request.
The living-room sofa unfolds in a minute into a proper flat double — no bars, no sagging — making the mansard comfortable for three or four. By day it's back to being the cosiest seat in the house.
A small balcony with a table and two chairs — just enough for breakfast in the sun, an aperitivo at golden hour, and that view: terracotta roofs, the lake, and snow on the peaks well into spring.
A fully equipped kitchenette — fridge, oven, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and the moka — with a dining table right under the beams. Smart TV in the living corner for slow evenings, though the window usually wins.
Full bathroom with a bathtub, bidet, washbasin, hairdryer and a washing machine tucked in. Towels and linen are always fresh — and yes, guests do write about the giraffe on the shower curtain.
Worth knowing before you book. Casa Elenina is a true mansard: a beam crosses the middle of the apartment, lowering the height to exactly 1.57 m where it passes, and the bedroom has a sloping ceiling — you can see both in the photos. The apartment is on the 3rd floor with no lift, so you'll take the stairs. We'd rather you know than be surprised.

Serenella beach is a short walk away, with a bar for snacks and drinks by the water.

Off-season the lake turns into a mirror, the crowds are gone — and the mountains come closer.
Madesimo, a cosy alpine town and ski resort in Valle Spluga, is about an hour's drive from Gravedona. Ski or snowboard in winter; in summer it's a beautiful base for mountain hikes — including the walk to the famous Lago Azzurro.
